Notes:
First Distortion with a Pedal
This is one of those tunes everyone can name in 2 or 3 notes. And that hook is built on an iconic tone made possible by an early form of electric guitar distortion. In fact, this is the first commercial release using a mass produced distortion stomp box (they were all one-off, handmade, custom units before this), the Maestro Fuzz Tone by Gibson, inspired by the distorted bass tone in Don't Worry, by Marty Robbins.
